Jennifer Pena

Jennifer is a first-year Special Education graduate student who is concentrating on Early-Childhood with High-Intensity Needs. She graduated Spring of 2022 with a bachelors in Art Education from Central Connecticut State University. This past summer, she did a seven week Art Camp in Glastonbury and previously worked as a long-term art substitute teacher. In high school, she volunteered in the pediatric unit at the Hospital for Special Care which sparked my interest in working with children with disabilities. Following this, she worked in a summer school for multiple years with kindergarteners who were reading in a significantly lower age level.
